Fran Bayless

Since 1990, Fran Bayless has pursued wildlife photography as an artistic endeavor. During worldwide adventures in quest of nature's treasures, Fran and her husband, Tom, have explored diverse wilderness areas. The natural beauty that Fran encountered has touched and heightened her feelings, perceptions and concepts about the environment and the animals and birds living within these areas. Fran has endeavored to share and communicate through her images the beauty, vastness, diversity, dramatic scenery and the habitats of the animals and birds, from the Arctic to the Antarctic. Her goal is to draw the viewer into her photographs and experience a moment of wonder, involvement, inspiration, and beauty.

Her work has been accepted into many juried shows, published in Northern Ohio Live, Photographer's Forum--The Best Of Photography [8 volumes], Leica View and many travel brochures. Fran's images have been on display at Dodd Camera and Video [Commercial Store], The Play House Art Gallery, The Intown Club of Cleveland, The Cleveland Museum of Natural History, The Humphery Gallery [one person exhibits], the Shaker Heights Library and the Orange Art Center. Fran's images are on permanent display at Metro-General Hospital, Rainbow Hospital of University Hospitals and Zegrahm and Eco Expeditions. The winter of 2000, Fran was honored by having one of her Emperor Penguin photographs chosen by Leica Camera Inc. USA for their 2000 Holiday Season card.

Fran also has been honored as one of the 55 Successful Women who Share How they Grew from Ordinary Girls to Extraordinary Women in Dr. Sylvia Rimm's latest book, How Jane Won.
